Course Curriculum
The online course will cover the fundamentals of freelancing, and no prior freelancing experience is required! Course lessons will cover lessons and answer questions like the following:
Branding: What is branding? How do you determine and define your brand? What sets you apart from your peers and competitors, and how do you demonstrate this?
Pitching: What is pitching? What to do and what not to do. How do you find out who to pitch to? And how do you communicate your value proposition and selling points?
Determining Your Rate: How do you price your work? By the hour? By the project? How do you make sure you’re not selling yourself short while not pricing yourself out of a job?
Invoicing: Getting paid as a freelancer can be a job by itself. How do you make sure you get paid? What should you do if you don’t get paid?
Work Samples: How to capture and display past and current examples of your work. What do you do if you don’t have any samples of your work.
Your Web Portfolio: How do you display your content? What digital platforms should you be utilizing? Do you need a website if you have social media?
